To prevent alerting the gopher to impending danger, wearing gloves is recommended to keep human scent off the trap. 1. Swing trigger wire up from under the frame. 2. Spread jaws, using thumbs, by pushing forward. 3. With left index finger, guide trigger wire hook over end of frame. 4. While continuing to push down on frame, place the straight end of trigger wire through small hole in silver plate. 5. Trap is now set and ready to be placed in gopher hole.
