Durvet Freeze Miser

The activation temperature for the Freeze Miser is 37 degrees. Until the activation temperature is reached, water is not allowed to drip. After the water temperature has dropped to 37 deg or slightly below, the Freeze Miser will release a minimum amount of water until the internal water temperature returns to above 37 deg and then stop the water release. An important area of water waste is the result of the faucets dripping manually to prevent them from freezing. Typically, the faucet will be dripping water at a speed that prevents the faucet from freezing at the coldest temperature expected. This method wastes a lot of water. The freezing miser provides the same method of freeze protection using the least amount of water possible.

• Simply screw the freeze miser on your exterior faucet, then turn your water on.
• Once the activation temp of 37 degrees is reached it will release water.
